Team Policies / Parent Letter

What every Lady Eagles athlete and family should know this season.

Attendance & Practice

Athletes are expected at every scheduled practice unless excused in advance by a parent/guardian email to the head coach. Three unexcused absences in a season may result in reduced meet entries.

Academic Eligibility

NIAA and BCHS eligibility rules apply — athletes must maintain passing grades in all classes each grading period. The coaching staff monitors progress reports and offers study-hall support for athletes who need it.

Conduct & Sportsmanship

Lady Eagles represent Boulder City on and off the track. Athletes are expected to show respect to teammates, opponents, and officials at all times, both at practice and at competitions.

Uniforms & Equipment

Team-issued uniforms must be worn at all meets and returned in good condition at the end of the season. Lost or damaged uniforms are the financial responsibility of the athlete's family.

Travel & Transportation

The team travels together via school-provided transportation to all away meets. Athletes may only be released to a parent/guardian at away meets with prior written notice to the coaching staff.

A Letter to Our Families

Parent Letter — January 2026

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we begin the upcoming track season, I want to take a moment to outline the structure and guiding philosophy of the Girls Track & Field Program so expectations are clear and communication remains consistent.

This season, the boys’ and girls’ teams will operate with separate daily training plans while continuing to share facilities and support one another as part of the larger Boulder City Track Program. On the girls’ side, our focus will remain on long-term athlete development, injury prevention, and building confidence through purposeful, well-structured training.

Our training plan is organized in phases across the season, progressing from foundational fitness and skill development into more event-specific preparation and competition. Not every day is meant to be hard, and not every workout is meant to look impressive on paper. Instead, each session has a clear purpose designed to support sustainable improvement, athlete health, and peak performance at the right time of year.

A key part of our program is athlete education. We spend time helping the girls understand why they are training a certain way, how to listen to their bodies, and how consistency and patience lead to long-term success. This approach not only improves performance, but also builds maturity, accountability, and confidence.

If you ever have questions about training, workload, or your athlete’s development, please feel free to reach out. Open communication is important to me, and I want parents to feel informed and comfortable with the direction of the program.

I’m excited about the season ahead and grateful for your continued support of our athletes.

Sincerely, Mark Misuraca Head Girls Track & Field Coach Boulder City High School
